Restaurants to try along the Wasatch Front

Market Street Grill Downtown is a Classic

I love that you can get fresh seafood right here in Salt Lake. Located in a cool historic building built in 1905. Their menu offers a good variety even if you’re not a seafood lover.

The Red Fort in Layton, Utah is a restaurant must try

This is definitely my number one favorite restaurant in all of Davis County, and it helps that the office is right across the parking lot! This place opened in 2022, and has been a staple in our diet ever since. Seriously, we have to limit ourselves to once a week because the food is just that delicious. Also, the employees are an amazingly friendly family that works so well together. Their family also is the same group that runs Red Fort in St. George.

TIPS FROM JULI

=
If this is your first time, eating Indian food, ask for a recommendation from the waiter. Everything on the menu is delicious, but they can recommend things that match your tastes.
=
If you are a fan of spice, be careful of their highest level of spice. We have been here with friends that think they can handle it and unfortunately are not able to eat their meals because the food is too spicy when they say “hot”,  they mean “hot”.
=
Definitely order the garlic naan, and the raita sauce on the side.
=
Avoid Friday and Saturday evenings, this place gets so busy on those nights, and the waits are longer.
=
Take out is an amazing option also from this place.

Order the extra spicy hot sauce. You may have to talk to one of the owners to get this.

Located in the heart of Moab, Utah, Desert Bistro is a favorite

Moab is one of our very favorite cities to visit in Utah! There is so much to do, including world class mountain biking, stunning hiking of the most amazing arches and red rock, white water river rafting,  and ALL kinds of four wheeling/off roading.
When in town, we always have at least one meal at the Desert Bistro. Their slogan is “Adventurous cuisine with a southwestern flair.” Everything is made from scratch, locally sourced ingredients, and lovely owners and employees. After a fun day doing an outdoor activity, this is the absolute perfect place to relax, be very well taken care of, and refuel with delicious food.

Plan ahead! This place is somewhat cozy, and especially in the winter the seating is very limited. You can reserve online at their website desertbistro.com

You can’t go wrong with anything the menu, everything is delicious! I would snag one of the earlier dinner reservations if possible to have more of the place to yourself.

Must visit Table 25 in Ogden, Utah

Growing up in Ogden, it is very easy to find the “great spots” for restaurants. Especially when it comes to 25th street! Without a doubt this is not only my favorite restaurant in Ogden, but one of my favorite restaurants in UT. The seasonal menus, customer service, and exceptional quality of food makes this a MUST EAT. The menu changes with the seasons which I absolutely love. And you can really tell that from the owners down to the host/hostess’s all have the same goal;

To provide us with the best quality available. There is also something to be said about the owner’s physical presence in the restaurant. 10/10.

Go for a special occasion or a business meeting! Everything is made fresh including the pasta, sauces, salad dressings, cocktails, and desserts. This really is one of those “throw a dart at the menu” places, where everything is delicious.

I like to go there for lunch. Typically easy to get into, and you’ll be treated with some of the best customer service around. Also, I am someone that if the quality of food is sub-par, I can typically feel not so great 30 minutes after paying the bill. This place couldn’t be further from this. It comes down to the quality of the ingredients, that will leave you with a full tummy and a smile on your face.

They are open for brunch on Sunday’s, and that is also one of our favorite times to go! You will have to keep this one on your list, since you’ll 100% have to come several times to taste everything they have to offer. Seriously. It’s that good.
